The Palamos Prawn is the most appreciated among the more than 150 types of Red Prawns that are obtained throughout the Mediterranean and southern Atlantic seas.

The reason comes from the seabed on the northeastern coast of Spain with a depth of more than 2000 meters, with a practical absence of light and a large accumulation of nutrients.

The result is a Delicate Red Prawn, full of flavor that stands out for its iodized flavor and at the same time is sweeter than any other.

The head is juicy, rich, and complex and the body meat is firm, but at the same time very fine.

It's so delicate that it only needs a brief cooking, either in water or on the grill. It is excellent in a soft extra virgin olive oil confit, such as Arbequino, and of course raw.

La Gamba de Palamos es la más apreciada entre las más de 150  tipos de Gamba Roja que se obtinenen en todo el Mediterráneo y sur del Atlántico.

El motivo proviene de la orografia del fondo marino en las costas del noreste de España con una profudidad de más de 2.000 metros con práctica ausencia de luz y gran acumulación de nutrientes

El resultado es una Gamba Roja sabrosa y a la vez delicada, destaca su sabor yodado y más dulce que las demás.

La cabeza es jugosa, rica y compleja y la carne del cuerpo tiene consistencia, pero a la vez es muy fina.

Para su mejor degustación, solo necesita  una cocción breve, sea en agua o a la plancha. Es excelente confitada en un aceite de oliva virgen extra suave como el arbequino, y por supuesto cruda.
